Mozzarella Pizza

Make delicious homemade mozzarella pizza with a crispy, golden crust, rich tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. A simple recipe that brings authentic Italian flavors to your table!

Ingredients :

For the Dough:

  • 500 g strong bread flour
  • 1 tbsp dry yeast
  • 300–350 ml warm water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar

For the Tomato Sauce:

  • 390 g tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp MYST Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Topping:

  • 200 g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 10 thin slices mozzarella cheese
  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10 thin slices spicy salami
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Fresh arugula leaves
  • 1 tbsp MYST Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and gradually add the warm water while mixing with a fork. Knead the dough by hand for at least 5 minutes, until smooth, elastic, and only slightly sticky.
  2. Lightly grease a bowl with olive oil, place the dough inside, cover with a damp kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the dough into a ball, then divide it into two equal portions and form two smaller dough balls. (If you only need one pizza, freeze the second dough for later.)

  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until very thin, as it will rise during baking.
  6. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough. Top with the mozzarella slices, shredded mozzarella, spicy salami, and cherry tomatoes.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh arugula and dried basil, then finish with a drizzle of MYST Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
